Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA)
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA) – Its name resembles the harsher Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), but they are completely different substances.
SLSA is a gentle surfactant derived from coconut and palm oils. Unlike SLS, it does not dry out the skin or irritate sensitive skin, making it suitable for all skin types.
Key properties of SLSA:
Gentle yet effective cleansing: Removes dirt and excess oil without stripping the skin.
Rich foam: Produces a dense, creamy lather for a pleasant and luxurious cleansing experience.
Skin-friendly: Far less irritating than SLS.
Versatile: Widely used in cleansers thanks to its mild foaming ability.
Important note: Many confuse SLSA with SLS due to the similar name, but they are chemically and functionally very different. SLSA is a gentle, safe alternative suitable even for sensitive skin.
Summary: SLSA delivers gentle, effective cleansing with a rich, luxurious foam.
